What Would You Ask God?

As the director and one of the teachers of H2Grow (Kids Program), I have learned to surrender and trust God, a lot. I am honest when I say these words: “I don’t know, I just work here.” The reason I say these words is because God is the ultimate one who leads and does everything. I am just a passenger along for the ride. I have a short testimony to share:

This past Sunday (January 18th), I had such a wonderful time discussing with the kids. We spent nearly the entire 20 minutes of our class just talking. We chatted about life, the positive things that they have been experiencing in their lives, at school, and even some of their struggles. We started a series called “What Would You Ask God?” and the kids have the chance to write down any questions they want. Then we put them into a bowl, pull them out anonymously and just discuss. The kids have had so many questions that they’ve added into the basket. It was the craziest thing I got to witness. God is doing something here… These kids showed me (ultimately God showed me) that we as people crave guidance.

I don’t know which kid asked this question, but just read this:

“Will I become successful?”

I just paused when I read that.

Another question that was asked: “Have I told enough people about Jesus?”

How incredible.

I am truly amazed and super emotional even thinking about this. These kids are seeking and searching. How beautiful that we as Christians get the opportunity to show God’s love. I realized this past Sunday that this questions series God started up inside me is blossoming and I get this sense that it isn’t supposed to end. And I don’t want it to, ever.

“God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I have become inspired to just live in the moment for those 20 minutes. It goes by like the blink of an eye, and it’s in those few 20 minutes that these kids, and ultimately we too, just need to talk.

So, just let’s talk.

I love you friends!
